Presenting a new cycle paintings exploring the translucency, undulating texture, and the shimmering light of land and sea. The exhibition features more than thirty medium and large format watercolors on handmade paper. The Blue Shore is the farthest shore. Blue is the shortest wavelength, yet the color of distance, of longing, of water reflecting clouds describing what is out of reach, a palpable illusion of light and form coming from elsewhere. My pale skin tricks red blood into appearing blue, so my life seems to course through oxygen blue rivers, following arterial seasons and moontides. My lungs fill and empty of blue air without thinking - my breathing one then one then one more wave breaking upon the shore.
